Correction Officer Christopher Gayle
On January 24th, 2020, The NYC Department of Correction mourned the loss of the 8-year veteran Correction Officer Christopher Gayle.
CO C. Gayle began his career at DOC at the George R. Vierno Center. His most recent assignment was at the Investigations Division. He was also a member of the DOC’s Ceremonial Unit. He also served 8 years with the United States Navy as a Boatswains Mate 2nd Class. Rank (E-5), Surface Warfare Specialists. He was honored to be a member and a part of NYCD S.O.C.O.M.
CO Gayle extremely well-liked and respected by his fellow o officers and all who knew him. He was 42 years old with a bright future ahead of him. May he always be remembered.
